Social Worker / Psychotherapist
Clinical Philosophy
Congratulations on making the first step to positive change! Making the decision to begin counselling can be overwhelming and let’s face it – no one likes to be overwhelmed. I was drawn to social work because I strongly believe that there is nothing more powerful than seeing individuals realize their inner strength. I have always been committed to interpersonal advocacy, professional development and critical reflection using an anti-oppressive lens. I have experience working with populations facing significant chronic illness, trauma, PTSD, violent crimes, and identity issues, and am very familiar with the highs and lows military families experience. I have been told that I have a witty and sarcastic nature – so if you’re looking for a therapist who knows her stuff, will keep you accountable, and hold space for your struggles while simultaneously being authentic enough to laugh – I’m your gal.
