First, Sasikala prefers being called SK. She comes to us with a vast knowledge of issues in mental health. Having extensively studied in the field of medical sociology as well as having held various roles with mental health agencies prior to starting her social work journey, SK comes to us fully equipped to help you navigate life’s challenges that impact mental and physical health. She is dedicated and equipped to work with teens, young adults, parents, and older individuals who are experiencing grief or having to cope through life transitions.

SK is bilingual, speaking both English and Malayalam and has a deep understanding of South Asian culture and its nuances, behavioural expectations, stigma, and other issues.

She is passionate about helping individuals with women’s issues, stress, cultural adaptation issues, racism trauma, anxiety, depression, assisting parents in navigating their complex roles as well as supporting individuals through grief and life changes. Her approach is firmly rooted in a person-centered, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and feminist lens ensuring she meets each client where they are in their journey.

SK is kind, empathetic and has a great sense of humour. She will empower you to push through complex struggles and be the best version of yourself.

On her spare time, SK cherishes spending time with her family and travelling.

Through her guidance, you’ll be able to overcome your barriers and achieve your goals as quickly as possible.

At this time, SK will only be offering virtual sessions but does have flexible availability to meet clients’ needs.
